Jouni - Yoko - Tormanen (Fin)

2003-2010

Yoko came to Beijing in 2003 and brought decades of experience in coaching and playing. A passionate member of Beijing hockey, he helped develop women's hockey in Harbin and is one of the leaders in number of tournaments attended (North Korea, Bangkok too many times, Mongolia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Dubai, Taiwan, Kunming, Nanjing, Harbin...). In Ulaan Baatar, Yoko earned his name on the famous Finkle Award!

Yoko is the only player to have played with 3 different teams in our league, taking his scoring magic and offense with him (Finns in general rarely back-check). His other claim to fame is that he is being considered by Guinness for the record of "World's Most Talkative Finn."

Tour after tour, Yoko would go, sometimes organizing, sometimes going solo to play in new countries, he will be missed as he was part of the core of touring Beijing players! His birthday rum drinks in the DPRK, singing with a colonel on the North side of the DMZ, will be a legendary story for years to come! Beijing hockey might never be allowed back to that country!
